Impacting our community.

The Middlebury Food Pantry is situated in the heart of the quintessential midwestern town of Middlebury, home to a close-knit population of nearly 3,600 residents. Despite our town's modest size, our commitment to fighting hunger is immense. Each week, we open our doors to anyone in need, offering a warm and welcoming environment to share in the generosity that our community provides. This shared bounty wouldn't be possible without the tremendous support we receive from our dedicated volunteers, local businesses, and church groups. Together, they contribute not only food but also their time, resources, and compassion, ensuring that no one in our town goes hungry. The Middlebury Food Pantry stands as a testament to the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together.

Summer Food Program to Provide Free Meals for Children

Middlebury Food Pantry is excited to announce the launch of the Middlebury Summer Food Program for Children, running from June 6 to August 9, 2024. This program aims to ensure that children in the community have access to nutritious meals during the summer months when school is not in session. The program will operate every Thursday from Noon to 2 PM and every Friday from 11 AM to 2 PM, offering free lunches to anyone 18 or younger in accordance with federal guidelines.

Free Backpack Meal Distribution

In addition to the free lunches, the Middlebury Food Pantry, in partnership with Cultivate Food Rescue, the Township of Middlebury, Forks County Line Store, and The Bontrager Family Foundation, will provide a limited number of free backpacks containing:

6 frozen meals, 1 package of cheese slices, 1 package of lunch meat per child. A voucher for Forks County Line Store to purchase: 1 gallon of milk, 1 dozen eggs and 1 loaf of bread.

These backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis every Thursday and Friday throughout the summer. Each family is limited to one visit per week.
